[UK] Is this black work healing too patchy ? Thoughts ? I can basically see the skin beneath near enough, and I’ve been doing all the aftercare

  1. It definitely looks patchy. I have some that scabbed as it should and a lot of the ink fell out in the end. It’s hard to say at this point how it will heal but I agree that it doesn’t look solid.

  2. Looks like overall you may have just gotton a low-quality tat. Inconsistent black patches aside, the line work is also uneven, wobbly, and blown out. I certainly hope you are not having to deal with it getting infected on top of all that.

  3. Blackout often needs touch ups. Doesn’t look too out of the ordinary to me. I’ve got a sleeve of ~50% blackout and much of it needed a little extra somethin somethin after it healed

  4. Technically it’s healing correct, but the ink was not packed in well, the artist did not take the time to properly saturate it but that is most likely because they haven’t done black work before or just not enough. It is 100% fixable with a touch up I might look into finding someone who has more experience with black work. All in all you are in good shape since it doesn’t look scarred or blown out.
